Designed to be attached to Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE), such as half face masks, full face masks and powered air systems, filters help to purify the harmful airborne contaminants one breathes. Without a filter attached, or the correct filter attached, a respirator will not be safe. Our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when combined with the correct filter, can also protect against Coronavirus (COVID-19). Each of our filters manufactured by 3M, BLS, Climax and DeltaPlus work in different environments and have a different use, which in turn allows them to be used in a number of industries and applications, such as Construction, Automotive, Oil & Gas, Dental, Pharmaceutical, Welding, Drilling, Agriculture, Medical, Woodworking, Chemical Processing/Handling, Manufacturing, Spray Painting and DIY. These filters are coded:
◉ A Organic gases and vapours with boiling point > 65 ° C
◉ AX Organic gases and vapours with boiling point ≤ 65 ° C
◉ B Inorganic gases and vapours (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide)
◉ E Acid gases and vapours (e.g. sulfur dioxide, hydrogen chloride)
◉ K Ammonia and derivatives
◎ Hg-P3 Mercury and mercury vapours
◎ P Particles, mists, fumes
They can also be combined, in turn providing additional levels of respiratory protection to the user, allowing for simultaneous usage in a number of applications.
Maintenance:
Before usage, filters should be inspected for any damage and to make sure they are correctly fitted. Damaged filters should be replaced. After usage, it is recommended that filters are removed from the mask if possible, wiped down, inspected and then stored in a safe uncontaminated place.
